The Golden Arc Expedition

This October, we’ll welcome two young, record-setting adventurists to Nisbet Plantation!

Their Story

Golden ArcWill McCreadie and George Parry are departing Sept. 25 for a 2,000 mile voyage across the Caribbean. This British pair will travel from Grenada to Miami with only a kayak and a sense of adventure.

On average, the duo will be paddling at least 8 hours per day. Will explains the biggest challenge will be battling inclement weather, as the risk of heat exhaustion, sunburn and dehydration cannot be underestimated. Despite the many obstacles they’ll face, they’re thrilled to participate in another extraordinary undertaking and inspire others to pursue their dreams.

Once they successfully complete their 3-month expedition, Will and George will be the first British team to kayak this course and also the third team in history to achieve this feat.

Along their journey, Will and George will visit nearly 20 countries to rest, restock supplies and raise funds and awareness for their non-profit organization, Get Exploring Trust (GET). GET provides grants that enable others to access recreational activities, where they can develop new skills and enhance their leadership and problem-solving abilities.

We’re delighted they will be visiting our unspoiled island of Nevis and look forward to welcoming them for an overnight stay at Nisbet Plantation.

Follow along by satellite as the boys paddle across the sea and live in the moment. Stay tuned for additional updates as we welcome Will and George to our resort this October!
