Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, will be the host of the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games, and we are honored that six athletes from Nevis are expected to participate along with six from our sister island, St. Kitts.

Nevis to Participate in 2019 Special OlympicsSt. Kitts & Nevis will have two athletes perform in each of the following disciplines: open water swimming, cycling, triathlon, bocce, athletics and tennis.

To show our support of such a worthy event, Nisbet Plantation recently provided food during the “Road to Abu Dhabi” Fundraiser Luncheon.

Olympian Involvement

Olympians Keri-anne Payne and David Carrey, who are leading the March 2018 Nisbet swim retreat, will participate as celebrity swimmers on a relay team during the Cross-Channel Swim to help raise awareness about the Special Olympics. They will also host a clinic for the SKN Special Olympics coaches.
