The activities for the 2013 Nevis Culturama Festival have come to a close, but the celebrations are very much alive here at Nisbet Plantation. The annual celebration, called the Caribbean’s Greatest Lime, proudly showcased the cultural traditions of the Island of Nevis through various pageants, parades, contests and more.

e us proud. Pastry Chef Danilo won the following honors in the Fruit Festival Competition:

  • 1st Place: Best Cheesecake for his chilled mango, soursop layered cheesecake. This marks the 4th year in a row Nisbet has won the cheesecake competition.
  • 2nd Place: Best Pie for his delicious banana, coconut cream pie.

Chef Tony also entered the competition with his popular and refreshing Soursop

Ice Cream, a recipe that has won him first place in the Ice Cream Competition in prior years.

In addition, Grounds Supervisor Andrew “Hollywood” Nisbett made it all the way to the Finals of the Senior Kaiso Competition. A previous “Nevis Calypso King,” Nisbett did a tremendous job with lyrics, singing and dancing.

The ladies and gentlemen of Nisbet Plantation congratulate our participants on their impeccable sportsmanship and creativity. We are already looking forward to next year’s Nevis Culturama 40!
