Culturama is quickly approaching in Nevis, and Caribbean Journal has recognized this annual event as one of 6 Summer Carnivals to Visit in the Caribbean this year.

The festival is July 27-August 19, 2017 and will celebrate all aspects of Nevisian arts and culture. Most importantly, this event recognizes the island’s most significant milestone – the emancipation of slaves in the 1830s.

Culturama on Nevis

Youngsters join in the Junior Kaiso competition and Talented Youth pageant, while the cultural street fair, parade though Charlestown, and Emancipation Day Jump-Up are fun for the entire family!

We are excited to cheer on our very own Grounds Supervisor Andrew “Hollywood” Nisbet as he performs again in the festival – stay tuned for additional details.
