Palm plantings at Nisbet Plantation commemorate many celebrations for our guests, from weddings to honeymoons and anniversaries. Therefore, it was only fitting for that we celebrate General Manager Jamie Holmes’ four years of service at Nisbet Plantation with a palm planting.

For the past four years, Jamie has been a familiar face for our guests. He has happily shared all that makes our island so special with our guests and been an ambassador for Nevis. He has also been active in the community, mentoring youth cyclists, continuing our adopt-a-school program, serving on tourism boards and much more.
Jamie and his family are moving back to the US for personal reasons. As he said in his last General Manager’s note in our Island Vacation Update e-newsletter, “Thank you to all I’ve met and the best staff in the world here at Nisbet Plantation. It has been a real labor of love and I will miss you.”
We will miss you Jamie, but know that you and your family will always be a part of our Nisbet family. And, Nisbet Plantation Beach Club will continue to shine thanks to our long-standing Nevisian staff.
The Holmes family Royal Palm tree is planted in front of the Reception. It is one of five Royal Palm trees donated from Ottley’s Plantation on St. Kitts as a gesture of goodwill between our two plantation inns.
