Afternoon tea at Nisbet Plantation was featured in the current issue of Tea Time magazine. In the January/February 2012 issue, writer Jeff Lewis features the “upscale resorts (that) give traditional afternoon tea a tropical twist” in his article, “Teatime in the Caribbean.”

Nisbet Plantation was one of just six resorts featured. When describing teatime at Nisbet Plantation, Jeff says:

“The tradition of afternoon tea has been honored at the Nisbet Plantation Beach Club on Nevis, a British colony, since the resort was established in the 1950s…(Guests) can gaze down the Avenue of Palms to the sea while enjoying scones with cream, finger sandwiches, and savory carrot and banana cakes. In addition to mint, lemongrass, and sage, the most requested teas include chamomile, English Breakfast, and all the local teas, which denizens hail for their medicinal value.”

Tea lovers should pick up the current issue to learn more about this tradition. And on your next visit to Nisbet, make sure to join us for afternoon tea.
