This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Nevis to St. Kitts Cross-channel Swim. In the open ocean swim, racers navigate across the channel between the two islands.
In celebration of the 10th anniversary, this year’s race will be reversed. For the first time in the cross-channel swim’s history, swimmers will begin at Cockleshell Bay on St. Kitts and reach the finish line at Oualie Beach on Nevis.
Last year, swimmers came from as far away as Alaska and the UK, and were as young as 10 years old.
For swimmers, sign up to test your skills against some of the best in the world. For those who just want to try the challenge, you can participate with the aid of snorkel and fins (but not eligible for race prizes).
If you’re not quite up to the swim, you can cheer on the racers by boat. It’s a great way to experience the swim up-close.
Guests of Nisbet Plantation can arrange to watch the Nevis to St. Kitts Cross-channel Swim by boat by speaking to the Front Desk. The cost is $20.
