The island of Nevis was recently featured on WCVB-TV, Boston. Chronicle Anchor Anthony Everett explores the island’s history, activities, luxurious plantation inns and more.
Anthony left “stung by the Killer Bee” and “smitten with Nevis,” commenting that he “can’t say enough about the Nevisian people. Just hospitality to the max, friendly to the max, really a great place to go and great people to be with.”
In case you missed it, here is a recap of the segments and links to view online.
“Anthony Walks on Water”
Anthony is immersed into island activities, joining legendary guide Lynnell Liburd to learn about the hike to Nevis Peak. According to Anthony, this #1 activity on our list of 101 Things to Do “gives you an insight into everything that makes Nevis special and unique.”
Beyond the lush greenery, he explores the beaches on horseback with the Nevis Equestrian Center and tries flyboarding on our sister island of St. Kitts. Watch this episode.
“The Lap of Luxury on Nevis”
Anthony explores the island’s history, visiting the Bath Hotel, Alexander Hamilton’s birthplace and the plantation inns that are now “some of the most attractive resorts on Nevis. Among the most popular, Nisbet Plantation.” He also visits the Nevis Botanical Gardens, a “horticultural paradise.” Watch this episode.
“Nevis: Painless Killer Bee”
Nevis culture is on display at the new Art Center where residents gather regularly “to see their friends and family perform.” Of course, a visit to Nevis would not be complete without a stop at Sunshine’s Beach Bar and Grill to enjoy the beautiful sunset and sip his famous “Killer Bee” cocktail.
